Cindy Squires joined the International Wood Products Association (IWPA) as Executive Director in March of 2013. As the chief executive for the leading international trade association for the North American imported wood products industry, Cindy represents companies and trade organizations engaged in the import and use of hardwoods and softwoods from sustainably managed forests in over 30 nations across the globe. Ms. Squires also serves on the boards of the American Hardwood Export Council, the Tropical Forest Foundation, and the American Boat and Yacht Council.
For nearly ten years, Cindy directed the regulatory, legal and trade programs for the recreational boating industry as the Chief Counsel of the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA). Cindy practiced environmental and administrative law at Beveridge & Diamond, P.C. Cindy has spent nearly 10 years on agricultural policy, representing the Executive branch during Clinton Administration as a legislative liaison and regulatory analyst at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Marketing Service and as a U.S. Senate Agriculture Committee legislative staffer for then Chairman Senator Patrick Leahy.
Ms. Squires graduated cum laude from the Washington College of Law, American University and is admitted to the Maryland and the District of Columbia bars. Ms. Squires has her B.A. in International Relations from George Mason University. A Wyoming native, Ms. Squires spends her spare time enjoying the outdoors with her son and husband.
O’Donnell joined IWPA as Manager of Government and Public Affairs on April 7, 2014. Prior to joining IWPA, he served ten years on the staff of former U.S. Sen. Richard Lugar, a former Chairman of both the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry and the Committee on Foreign Relations. His positions included Deputy Legislative Director and Senior Legislative Assistant while focusing on assisting stakeholders interacting with federal agencies and advancing funding priorities through the budget process. O’Donnell earned a Bachelor of Science degree in International Economics from Georgetown University’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service.
As Manager of Government and Public Affairs, O’Donnell works to advance the priorities of IWPA members in Congress and the federal agencies. He also works to keep members abreast of developments that may affect their businesses through IWPA’s weekly eNews newsletter.
O’Donnell resides in Washington, D.C., and enjoys escaping the city at any opportunity to hike, bike, and camp.

Jennica A. Sims
Jennica joined IWPA as the Manager of Membership Outreach, Operations, and Government Relations Coordinator September of 2016. Prior to coming on board here, she worked as the Field Director of a Congressional campaign in Maryland for former State Department official Joel Rubin. Other positions she has held include Executive Director and Campaign Manager for a New Jersey County Committee, Regional Field Director in New Hampshire for a Presidential Draft Campaign, Deputy Regional Director for a Congressional Campaign in Connecticut, and Constituent Affairs intern for U.S. Senator Robert P. Casey, Jr. in his Philadelphia office.
Jennica has been the face of a draft campaign in The Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, The Rachel Maddow Show and Meet The Press. She was also trained by the prestigious Wellstone Academy and nominated as the New Organizing Institute’s Most Valuable Organizer for her dedicated outreach and efforts to organize one of the largest cities in Connecticut. She graduated from Lynchburg College with a joint Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and Political Science.
Jennica lives in Washington, D.C., and takes her dog hiking and running as often as possible and enjoys reading any American History book she can find.
